Over the past eight years, Minardi F1x2 Team personnel have strapped some of motor racing’s greatest stars into the driver’s cockpit of their two-seaters. The roll of honour includes six Formula One World Champions, three multiple Grand Prix winners, and a further 23 with current, or recent, Formula One experience. In addition, virtually all of the 44 men and women who have driven the F1x2 cars have been winners in other top racing categories, including Champ Car (one is a four-time champion), Sports Cars, A1GP, GP2 and F3000. In short, they are among the world’s very best, and this, combined with the genuine Formula One specification of the Minardi two-seaters, has meant that the 2,500 passengers carried to date really have enjoyed “the ride of a lifetime”. It will continue to be the Minardi F1x2 Team’s policy to use drivers of the highest calibre, both to guarantee the authenticity of the experience and to ensure the programme operates with the safety of passengers as its primary concern.
